Cantor David Goldschmidt, a revered Jewish wedding singer, has made his mark on the wedding scene in Hollywood, Florida, while still calling Miami home. His immense talent transcends local boundaries, creating beautiful moments not just in Miami but also in Hollywood and destinations far and wide. David’s voice—a masterful combination of chazanut, opera, and contemporary pop—brings a unique and moving sound to every Jewish wedding he graces.
Hailing from Bogota, Colombia, David’s inspiration comes from his father, Rabbi Alfredo Goldschmidt, the respected Chief Rabbi of the Jewish community. “My father’s voice and accordion have touched so many hearts. As a cantor, I aim to continue his mission of bringing joy to the bride and groom,” David says. Whether serenading his wife at their wedding or moving guests to tears with his performances, David’s ability to convey deep emotions guides his approach to Jewish wedding ceremonies. In Hollywood or elsewhere, his goal is to connect the couple and their guests with the sacredness, romance, and tradition of the wedding ceremony.
With his live band, Cantor David elevates the chuppah and processional moments. His famous song, “Boi Kala” (The Bride’s Serenade), has been sung at countless weddings in Hollywood, as brides walk down the aisle and enter the chuppah.
David’s process involves deeply understanding each couple’s unique love story. “Every couple has their own journey,” he explains. “My goal is to tell their story through song.” Whether in the warm ambiance of Hollywood or any other location, Cantor David ensures that the bride’s walk down the aisle is a magical, emotional, and unforgettable experience.
